Just wondering if anybody can give me some information on any special procedures I need to do to jumpseat on Mesaba from DTW to YKF. Does that route have high loads or would I be able to get a seat easily? Thanks in advance!

I've only jumpseated on Mesaba Saabs once, but I must say the crew was fantastic. Really went above and beyond to help me out of what was going to be a really bad commute.
 
international jumpseating...........can we do that? not sure we can, but I am not up on that......I just know that we cannot jumpseat NWA internationaly.....

I know that I have been able to jumpseat on NWA as an OAL, as long as there is a seat available in back...I think it is this way with most carriers.
 
I've taken a Colgan pilot to YKF a couple times as a jumpseater... he just has to be able to sit in back. The 3rd seat up front is off limits when going international. As for NWA international jumpseats... I believe the same applies. Offline jumpseaters must have a seat in the back to use.
 
On the Saab it is always a seat in the back....just because of weight and balance issues.

Not yet ...and I like to keep up with the little puddle jumpers anyway.
 
There is a Pinnacle pilot that we take out of YKF on occasion. He says that he Non-Rev's from DTW to YKF, but does the Jumpseat thing from YKF to DTW to avoid paying taxes.
