Jumpseating carry on

Now that we can not take our toothpaste with us on board an airplane, how does this effect jumpseating with carry on baggage? Will the airline check your bag at the gate, do you plan on jumpseating without your clothes and shaving kit? Does anyone have any input on rules?

i was wondering the same, since i commute this is going to be a huge hassel if i have to check everything.

I just got through security at PHL commuting to CLT in uniform without a problem. At first they were going to do a bag search until they realized it was crew. However, my roomate told me he was in uniform going to work at CLT and got his toothpaste taken.

TSA send out a message to airline managements on this one. Ask your safety / security office
