Just curious how tough it is to get a ride Detroit to Minneapolis. I was told flights are usually full of commuting Northwest employees.

Loads are generally pretty full, and yes, you will have competition from a whole S-Load of Mesaba/Pinnacle/NWA employees. Also the route is usually full with company must-ride deadheads. NWA's jumpseat policy is pretty leniant and most captains I have run into will fill the plane up with jumpseaters on that route.

Good Luck.....

Why don't you try DTW-MKE-MSP as a back up if your plans for a non-stop ride are foiled. MKE has alot of red-tails running through it these days! Good luck, happy commuting!

Just FYI

I have found that the best way to commute between DTW and MSP is usually through CVG on us (Mesaba) since we are never usually full between CVG and DTW, and CVG and MSP, and we take unlimited jumpseaters unlike NW. A lot of our pilots in CVG commute from other bases and don't have problems getting to and from base. Hope it helps.

There are also many ways on Pinnacle or Mesaba. Example
DTW-MSP or vice versa through
CWA
ATW
SBN
DAY
CVG
DSM
LAN
CID

I think most of the connection cities are 30min to an hour between connection. There might be some longer sit times but im not sure right now. Thats about all I could think of for now. 99% of the Pinnacle Caps will give you a ride with no hassle. If any Mesaba guys can think of any more please add them.
