Hello

Just curious if anyone knows of any operators looking for a qualified C-441 pilot. I have a current Flight Safety Pro Card and I currently fly a 441 sinlgle pilot for a part 91 operation. Also I would be interested in anything coporate or part 91 that pays better than 35k per year. I am located in the midwest but I am willing to move wherever I need to.
I am very thankful to have the job that I have but if there is something better I would like to explore that option. I am not looking for something ASAP but I would like to see what is out there. I subsribe to climbto350 and some other job sites and they don't seem to produce much so I thought this might not be bad way to take a look. If I am being to greedy I am sure someone will let me know it.

No you are not being greedy, just trying to further your career, right?? Nothing wrong with that...

However, If I were you I would be happy just to be employed seeing that you have not type ratings or jet time yet! There are LOTS of guys who are unemployed and looking hard for work! - with- no offense, more qualifications than you!

If you have a decent job now, KEEP IT. Its not a good time to be jumping around. Hold tight, things will get better (someday!)

As Archer has learned...

No one can make that decision but you.

I would tend to agree with G200. Good luck in whatever you decide.

But, once again, you guys have misinterpreted.

He asking for info on other jobs, not for someone to make a decision for him.

Archer,

Are you not a college student???

I CANNOT believe that guys your age spend so much time surfing the WEB. I know a few years (well..) back when I was in school I hated every minute I had to be at a desk or on the computer. I thought chasing tail and drinking beer were a LITTLE more fun.......

Maybe you should turn off the computer for a little while and try and get laid? It will loosen you up a bit!

But then again....maybe I just misinterpreted...again!

I'm just pointint out your lack of interest to help fellow pilots and your constant criticism.

But let's not get into an argument again...

Just accept that

No one can make that decision but you.
Is not a way to help out

I do have a type rating. I was a Captain on a DHC-8, I flew the 100, 200 and 300 models. The 300 is 43,000 MTOW and seated 50 people so I have flown something bigger than a Conquest.
However, you are right that I have very little Jet time but I know from expierence Jets are not all that hard to fly. An airplane is an airplane, lets not forget that. They all fly the same some just go faster up high then others. (even turboprops can do 250 under 10)
Frankly, I just want a job where I fly more and maybe make a little more money. I appreciate your help and any imput I can get. I do think you misunderstood that I was mainly looking for a job flying a turbo-prop like the one I fly, I had no delusions of grandure about being some kind of G-500 driver or something.

It was in your case.

Gulfstream 200 - I chase tail whenever I can, man! Well okay, not so much anymore now that I've got a ball and chain of my own. But really, I spend 30 hours a week working in front of a computer, so this board helps me keep my sanity. But I promise you won't see me here on a Friday or Saturday night! If you do, feel free to stop by and kick my @ss! :p

I know Proflight in Conn. got a 441 a while back. They were looking for a qualified pilot. I think they are in Hartford. I dont have any contact info though. I think they listed on 350 back aways.

it's an endless circle. But i know its tough.

Anyway, Good luck trying to find something. It's taken 110 resumes and about 4 months of chasing the companies that are hiring or might be hiring or even arent hiring but hopefully will soon to get...nothing in response. Yeah. And if they are hiring. They take the people in the close area first and time in type first. Even the Aerostar operators want time in type! jesus. About the only thing you can hope to find right now is someone wanting an immediate relocation from you. If you have to give 2 weeks youre too slow. Thats where you will get lucky. Especially if they need someone that they cant find in the local area. Thats the sort of effort its gonna take to find something not where you are. or alot of walk-ins. but careful quitting righ taway for that immediate stuff. you might not get to come back once you get canned or they get broke.

Why do you want to move sideways just for a paycheck bonus? Yeah money makes a difference but hey you HAVE a job. you HAVE an income. You GET to sleep 8 hours at a time dont you? Can you afford to drink beer till the industry gets better? if so, then this sounds like a cush job to me right now. Gettin paid to fly, don't loose your focus man.

Hell I'm just trying to snake a job any way i can. If you leave that job TELL US SO WE CAN PUT IN FOR IT! I would be asking for the info already from you but i found a job just the other day...i hope its mine anyway. (I think i have one. I'll find out wednesday.)

good luck but please pass along anything to all of us that you find that you dont/cant take.
