Anyone know of any possibilities around Louisville or Lexington, KY? Having been boned by the regional industry too many times lately I think it's time for a step in the right direction, and it seems like Corporate flying is that direction.
There was a post on here a few weeks ago about a new Excel (I think) in LEX. Alltech has a KA300 and a LR45, RJ Corman has a LR55 and CL604, there are a bunch of 500 series Citations there as well as a few Turbo Commanders and King Airs. There is a company called Global Aircraft Charter (or something like that) based at TAC-Air, they have a LR55 and a GLF-2. There is also a Beechjet there, but I have no idea who owns or operates it.
As far as Louisville, there are lots but not many that I know of hiring. I think Kosair was looking for a C90 pilot a while back though. YUM is always looking for somebody (so it seems), Humana, and a TON of smaller companies with Navajos/King Airs/Citations/misc light jets. Aircraft Specialists at JVY is always looking for Lear or KA300 pilots, but thats usually because they've pissed off their current pilots to the point they've quit.
TC I was born and raised in LEX, being a UK fan is in my geneology! Although their play earlier in the season got 24 and Lost TV priority, I'm optimistic on a late run.
The Boilers are AWFUL this year in all sports..but hey, you can meet Purdue's 3rd string tight end "at locker number 3" and he'll tell you all about his OWI. I'm really glad I'm not a member of the John Purdue club....
Papa John's is currently full up. Humana is getting another Hawker 800. Don't know about Yum. And Boiler Up is right ASI always needs pilots because they abuse us to no end. I am currently the most qualified Captain there and so pissed I can't see straight. I'm on my way to NetJets and happy about it.
You might try going over to Tafel Motors in Louisville and talking to the owner (Dave Peterson) he is currently looking for someone to crew his Lear60.
