Dear aviator's:

I am B737 and Lear jet rated pilot. (unemployed..i know..i am in the club!!) but still looking for work.

I have sent a lot of resumes but not luck yet. If you can help and/or your company is hiring or need a pilot PLEASE drop me a line. I am available immediately and willing to relocate.

ATP, 5450 TT with over 3200 hours on Jets.

Thanks in advance, and happy holidays to all.
Mike

That's scary, 3200 hours on jets and you can't find a job? Is it really that bad?

mkmoz,
jetBlue is your best bet. If you already have an online profile at FedEx, keep updating -- and get some recommendations (they are no longer accepting new profiles).

Here's the part you don't want to hear: Until something "major" comes along, Comair will likely hire you -- if you interview with the right attitude. Sure the pay is ridiculous, but it is a flying job. This "downturn" is likely to last a few more years.

Another option worth looking into is the fractionals, like Net Jets. Check out the forums for Regionals and Fractionals. I was in your situation a little over a year ago, and I got very lucky.

Sending some luck your way...

Fellin your Pain

I know what its like, been searching for a job for nearly 3 months now. An AA buddy just got hooked up with a 135 Lear job in NY, and may possibly have a G-IV FO spot in LA, so there is hope for you. I've been seeing a number of lear jobs posted on planejobs.com but I'm not a member so I can't get the specifics about any particular position. Give some more details about location, what lear type, etc. and I'll pass on anything I find.

Keep the Faith,

Rice

Job

Thank you guys for your info. Speaking of jet blue, i don't have the 1000 hours on AC over 20k, and that is holding me back to join them. They called three times and told me can't hiring me cuz of that:(.

I have Lear jet type and lot of PIC on (20's,35A).

My profile with FEDEX is still good and up to date.

As of Comair, i have no problem flying for them. They are good company and would love to hear from them. I faxed my resume many times but still no word yet.

I check ALL pilot job website's twice a day and send more resumes...STILL NO PHONE CALLS!!!! may be because of the holiday's.

IF YOU CAN HELP PLEASE PLEASE DROP ME A LINE ANYTIME, AND THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR SUPPORT.

LR job...

Hi mkoz,

Check www.avcrew.com.

Northeastern Aviation Corp. in FRG, L.I. been looking for LR24/25/55 CPT.

I saw that job posting about a month ago...

Best of LUCK.

Comair Interview

One of the secrets to getting an interview with Comair is to give John V. Smith (Pilot Recruiter) a call. He is in Sanford FL and selects the people for interviews from all the resumes.
They receive hundreds of resumes a week so unless you talk to him it might take a while to get noticed in the big pile.
I don't have his direct # or extension but call 407-330-7020 and ask for him (leave a message, he is really busy nowadays but he is really good about returning messages)
Good luck:)
