JetBlue, Yahoo, Rim plan free in-flight Wi-Fi
Thursday December 6, 2:39 pm ET
NEW YORK (Reuters) - JetBlue (NasdaqGS:JBLU - News), Yahoo Inc (NasdaqGS:YHOO - News) and Research in Motion (Toronto:RIM.TO - News) plan to offer free, in-flight, Wi-Fi web connections for laptop computers and advanced cell phones, Rim said on Thursday.
The service will allow passengers to access customized Yahoo mail and Yahoo instant messenger services on their laptops or to access corporate e-mails on Wi-Fi enabled versions of the popular Blackberry device from Rim. According to a spokesperson for Rim the first JetBlue flight offering the service will be on December 11.

Beginning of the end, and what-not.

I believe he is making reference to all the threads and posts saying that JB is on its way out, gonna die "just like Indy", good while it lasted, etc. According to these boards, we should have gone out of business about three dozen times by now.

Yeah, JB is at the beginning of the end.....

Voted best low cost carrier in the US, awesome customer service, most innovative and high tech airline in the biz, more ways of being entertained than on any other carrier in the US, tons of Wall Street backing.....I can see why you would think it is the beginning of the end...

Another great product we give away....

Hey fellow B6 brothers...I don't know what the long term plan is, but with only one ship wired (for now) and it being a test bed, of course it'll be free. I'll bet that'll change when it's implimented full steam. Maybe txt/email will be free, but if/when we add more options/features to it, we BETTER charge something for that.
