Could someone clue me in on what an average monthly bid schedule is like at JB? Days off, commutable, flexibility(trades with open trips and other pilots)?

What are some of the trip pairings like? Duty times, number of legs?

Thanks

Average schedules depend on base but generally they run about 80 - 83 hrs with 15 days off for line holders. Some guys do a lot better and a few do worse. We have preferential bidding so you can pretty much get the days off you want as long as you take into account your senority. In other words, if you really say the 13 -15th off on that month, you'll more than likely get it. But you won't get all weekends off or the major holidays off until your senority is there. As to pairings, 1, 2, 3, 4, and five day trips with average daily credits of around 6 hours. 3 day trips tend to be more productive than five day. Daily legs can range from one to four. I've seen as many as five, but they are few and far between. Commutability is fair. Usually one end or the other. If you're JFK based and you don't live local, plan on a crash pad. Hope this answers some of your questions.

Thank you so much for the info. Any tips or info on the interview? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Be sure to check the "majors" section...
Its SUPPOSED to be an interview help board...
But more commonly a jetblue bashing area or a "general lee" self love post fest..

also check www.willflyforfood.com ...

good luck...
