In a recent poll, pilots at Jetblue were found to overwhelmingly support the President and his courage to fight for the health care that they themselves would not fight for.

One wife was quoted as saying, "thank GOD for Obama. My husband is a pu$$y."

What poll. Where was this poll. Was it in company email or on BP. I never saw this poll. I guess they didn't want my opinion.

So when companies like jetblue leave Americans holding the bag for their ENTIRE health care bill, can someone tell me why I WOULDN'T support a tax payer funded health plan ala Canada?

Is the argument that it's far better to just pay for everything yourself in order to avoid waiting periods and preserve choice?

When I can't AFFORD an MRI, why in the world do I care if there is a wait to get one?

Of course the other option would have been for Americans to FIGHT but alas, unions and fighting are a thing of the past.

In the dozens of countries with universal health care, it is primarily Canada and the UK that have some wait time issues with non-life-threatening procedures. Most other countries don't.

However, here in the "greatest healthcare system in the world", I recently needed a pretty important test run, and I had to wait a month and a half.....

Don't believe the spin, although it sounds like you don't.
 
The whole Obama care plan shifts the costs to the Doctors and Hospitals, it was clearly discussed many times.. So many doctors are now refusing to accept the Obama plans due to low payments, further many doctors are leaving or closing there offices to join large hospital groups.. the bottom line is our level of health care is lower, concerns of missed tests and procedures are climbing and seeing your old doctors is not guaranteed.. they might have to close down... All these factors are, by default equal to the so called "death panels".. as there are groups of advisors that preapprove of denigh when and if a person gets a higher level of care, what care and when...
It's already happening now... I've had to wait to get approval for testing that a few years ago was automatic...

Obamacare is the insurance companies dream act.. now that get money from everyone some how some way and they are making an all time killing...

There has to be a better way to take care of people that need it, make sure everyone can get it, and its affordable.. nothing I see now or coming does any of that.... Obamacare needs to be "converted" to a better program.. The insurance companies have got to be regulated... but not on our backs...or our lives..JMHO

Not one syllable of truth. Not one. I am shocked at what people will believe.

There are NO "Obama plans". No such thing, they don't exist. The panel of advisors you say is affecting healthcare, isn't even assembled yet. It does NOT exist yet.

Insurance companies making a killing? Always have. However, Obama-cares has a provision where insurance companies must NOW payout at least 80-85% of premiums for care, and as a consequence of the law, thousands of people are getting a refund from the insurance companies.

Try thinking for yourself and not taking the garbage from sean hannity serious. He is manipulating you, and apparently, its working as planned.

In my town, it can take 2 weeks to get an MRI appointment. How's that going to work when you add 30 million people to the process with UNLIMITED care? People just don't think about the implications - they just demand and demand and demand and feel they are entitled to everything.

Hey idiots, how's Europe doing with all of those entitlements? Under Obama, what makes anyone think we are not heading toward failed European policies? Certainly looks that way.... How are your grandkids going to pay back the $20 TRILLION in debt (through much higher cost of living) that Barry Hussein will accumulate through the end of another term? And if you are injured, how long will you wait to get the MRI you need? The lines will be super long. Instead, you will be going to Mexico for medical care using super-expensive gas given our complete lack of an energy policy... Maybe you'll strap a solar cell to your Honda. Sounds great!

Simple questions: why can't you buy health insurance across state lines like you can car insurance? What happens if you increase competition in any market? Prices go down. Lasik operations for your eyes used to cost $4K per eye - now you can find quality doctors who charge $800 per eye - competition works.

What happens when doctors get reduced reimbursement for their services (i.e., from Medicaid)? They stop providing services and require direct payment. So, under Obamacare, either you get fewer doctors who accept lower reimbursement (after paying $200K for medical school and still pay high malpractice insurance) or you get lower quality doctors/nurse practicioners willing to do the work. Lower quality health care - get used to it if Obama wins in November.

Says the guy probably getting his information from the likes Maddow and Olbermann.

It's really the problem with all of us, getting our information from every news organization and "their" politically motivated objectives. May one day, when things get bad enough, we'll all try to think for ourselves.

Everything SmartA$$ said in his post about ObamaCare is 100% verifiable. Simple facts. Why do you assume he got those facts from Maddow or Olbermann? There are hundreds of places he could get those facts because it's simple black and white stuff, widely available.

Everything polarjet posted about ObamaCare is verifiably false. Everything. Even the right wing media (Fox news etc.) is not so corrupt as to state such blatantly incorrect things.

This is not an issue of politically motivated media. It's an issue of *paying attention* and seeking knowledge so you can make informed political choices.

PS As for JetBlue, you guys need a union. Your costs are going up and benefits are going down, because you gave the company permission to get away with it. It has zero to do with ObamaCare.
