Doesn't this remind you of Sun Country's acquisition by Whitebox Advisors?

From the Blue board:

A group of investor LLPs under Whitebox and Goldman Sachs appears to be picking up JBLU stock at a feverish clip. Refer to your investor relations SEC filings section of jetblue.com for reference.

Do you really want to have zero transactional event protection? ALPA Merger policy goes into effect on day one after the election. Get to the cards so we can get to some protection, any protection.

Some guy named Bud Fox just called. He said...."Blue horseshoe loves Anacot Steel"

Is that important???

This is nothing like their purchase of Sun Country! SC was in bankruptcy and was basiclly worth 100 million dollars.....JetBlue is a 2 Billion dollar company that is solvent and made 100million dollar profit last year. Whitebox bought less than 6% of outstanding JB stock and does not have a seat on the board.

Now how does this resemble Whitebox purchasing of Sun Country?

So long as it's not being said by Shia LeBeouf it's ok.

I thought his career would be over after that Indiana Jones debacle of a movie. Well, rest assured he won't be getting another $10 of my money at a theater anytime soon.

Seriously, though...

Considering NWA/DAL and UAL/CAL, AA is going to have to grab either USAir or jetBlue to compete.

I thought JB and Cape Air were still talking about a merger? Or was that just a pilot flow-through program? ;):D:crying:

I agree with sentiment, Fubi!
Maybe of all the combos, JB and AS make the most sense.
AS has the west and AK, JB has a big chunk of the NE and the Carib.

Sun Country was not in bankruptcy when White Box invested in them. They were not quite worth 100 mill. It was somewhat less.

JBLU and ALK would be an instant and profitable power.

no no no, jetblue is not for sale. Dave said so. we with have organic growth only. we have a moat and a poison pill. the moat is my favorite. no one can cross a moat. we even put alligators from MCO in it!!

man, I know... I just wish others knew more. It's just hard to type "sarcastically" some times. I feel like we're sitting naked in the prison laundry room. If, or more when the merger mania hits JB our pilot group sits in untested waters.

I hear ya. Just hope AMR stays away from both groups. Because if they come knocking it will be ugly.

Obviously these Whitebox clowns don't know about our moat. Amateurs....

Talking stay away!!! BB was spotted in Bos and JFK walking with JB management checking the JB facilities!! (by a JB pilot and FA. oh law please!!!) then add to the count that the arbitrator has been holding the realese of the SLI and that BB is in MIA status since DEC 30!!! Just scares me... I could see though F9 merge with JB not the fix fee side!

Now remember this is the fn rumor mill!!! only belive the Cape Air FA!!!

There is no F9. If the F9 brand goes to JB the planes and pilots with seniority will go, not necessarily the former F9 pilots.

Some 50 seat rj pilot who faired well in the SLI will accompany the former F9 airbus' and become a JB pilot. The former F9 pilots will upgrade on the RJ's.

I hope AirTran pilots are watching.

Good for them.
