can someone give me a quick run down on the current health care benefits? Price/ co pays / deductibles etc? I have heard it has been pretty poor in the past. Which provider do they use? Thanks for any and all info.

Who needs health bennies. Now we'll be able to get them from our gub'mint.

Sorry, couldn't resist

Take industry average, then add 118% (actual number) in cost... that is what JB pilots pay. 3 different plans, they all F@ck the employee.

Soon to have same rate for the govt. plan.

Sorry I couldn't resist either.

We have benefits? I can't add anything intelligent to this because I use my wifes. Plus when I read the JB plan and what it cost I spit through my nose.

Did i spell intelligent the right way?:erm:

Costs me 144/mo for medical for myself plus son, 400 deductible each before they even start paying, in-network. I pay 10 percent co-insurance after that. A couple preventative type things are paid at 100 percent with no deductible. Dental plus vision about 40-ish on top of that, those bennies are a bit better.

There is a "cadillac" plan they re-introduced this year, no in-network deductible. It costs a LOT. I costed the increase in premiums and just put the deductibles in my FSA instead (my son has some chronic med problems so I spend it, easily). My friend that started here in '04 says the good plan is what they used to have, before it got taken away. Incidentally it's nearly identical to what I was offered at my crappy regional, for only 4x the price.

Added to above, providers are United Health Care and BCBS.

Now lets talk about the elephant in the room... our disability coverage. It all looks pretty good, right up until you get kicked out of the health care package and have to buy Cobra for your family.

Dude, the company said they would fix that 2 years ago.
