Was hoping someone could give me some insight. I've had my app. in at JB for over 2 years, and no calls. I saw that JB was looking for sim instructors, so I put my name in the hat for that as well. I recently got a call to interview for a E190 sim instructor position. Wondering if this would be good move, or a career ending move. My goals, of course, are to fly for JB.

Depends on what you are doing now. There were three instructors that recently were hired as line pilots. Within the last three months. I beleive that if hired as an instructor you will get an interview promis within two years.

Thanks. Right now I am still actively flying a regional jet for an airline. I just don't want to have the problem of not having any "recency of flying" if sim instructing.

Not sure what pay will be... But there is a new training facility almost at completion here in Orlando, FL. Therefore, your only training base, is here in sunny and magical Florida...
