Jet type rating?

Hello,
A furloughed friend off mine is looking for a cheap Jet type rating.
He has heavy time with the airlines and will be offered a job as
long he has "a jet type rating".
Does anyone know or recommend an place where he can obtain this quick and cheap.

Citation type

Tell your friend to give Mike Pappas in Carlsbad, California a call. I got my Citation type with Mike in 1990 when he was Professional Airline Systems. Cost will be far cheaper than FSI or SimuFlite. The course runs four days. Your friend will have no problems with Mike's course and will have an enjoyable experience to boot. I recommend it highly.

Flight Crew Systems type cost

I went to the site to try to ferret out the cost, to no avail. I paid something like $3K for mine thirteen years ago; undoubtedly the cost has gone up in thirteen years.

One other point. As long as you have met the hours and have taken and passed the written, a type ride can also count for your ATP ride. It's the same checkride.
