JetDirect Proposing To Acquire Sentient Jet

March 20, 2007
Charter

Two well known companies that operate charter aircraft and jet travel cards might be near to merging. According to sources close to the situation, Berwyn, Pa.-based JetDirect is negotiating to acquire Norwell, Mass.-based Sentient Jet. Officials from both companies were not available to comment, but representatives from the two companies reportedly met recently to define realignment procedures and discuss the overall business plan of incorporating the travel cards of the two companies, as well as the framework necessary to combine all the charter operators under one certificate with a centralized dispatch center near St. Louis. JetDirect, which has been on an acquisition spree for the last 12 months, has a fleet of more than 30 corporate aircraft. Investors include Philadelphia-based private equity firms CD Ventures and Argosy Capital, Brantley Partners of Cleveland and New York-based HSBC and AIG. Sentient Jet acquired charter operator Atlantic Aviation Flight Services from Voyager Group in early 2005.

The pilots in PA didn't like Sentient, now they are Sentient.
That'll go over big...

Hawkerjet - I didn't think you made it up, I was just wondering where you heard this from.

(Also, A rumor is not confirmed as truth, until it's been officially denied twice)

I was just playing around.....
I also heard that when Skytrails tears down the 3 small hangars on their premises,( fairly soon) they're going to build 1 large hanger that will extend to the Spirit Hangar, excuse me, Jet Direct hangar, capable of parking several G V's and various aircraft ( over 50 if they stack em like Clay Lacy) and the whole southern complex as we know Skytrails today will become Jet Direct/Sentient. Skytrails will be moving up to the East side, middle of the field between Lacy and Raytheon ( Raytheon test facility not FBO). It will be huge. I forget how many acres or square footage, but easily the biggest guy on the block. I hope Mark doesn't raise the fuel prices to pay for all this..

PS I finally figured out what that Quote button does!!!

The folks Steve H. brought in were professionals. The ex-TAG folks were bafoons.

In the end, the failure of SFG was a financial failure not a professional operations one. GOD how I wish for JAB and the other SFG Ops Folks. Atleast they understood safety and professional operations.
