Does anyone know why Jet Blue would be landing at KRAP (Rapid City, SD)? I was out flying today, and while we were waiting on the ramp in RAP a Jet Blue A320 landed, taxied to the airline apron, and then took back off about an hour later. I can't imagine them servicing such a small area, and so far from the east coast.

I know it's not really an important question, just trying to satisfy my curiosity.

If I'm not mistaken, I think Jet Blue services Long Beach from New York.

Right you are. We also fly to Oakland, Seattle, Las Vegas, Salt Lake City, Denver, and soon San Diego from NYC. Of course, that has nothing to do with the question...

It was probably a divert for medical, but it could have been another problem with an unruly customer. (Intruder One just crawled out from under his rock. Was it him?) Very unlikely that it was mechanical or charter, but it's possible.

I wasn't flying today (hence all the time on this board). Maybe we should wait for somebody who was to give an intelligent answer.

It probably was a medical, come to think of it I heard someone on the radios talking about a medical emergency, but didn't catch the callsign. That would make sense.

Thanks for the replies.
