im prepping for an interview and curious to know if there is any book, publication, anything to help with jepp plates? I use NOS and I need to learn the jepp format.

thanks

There is a guide that comes with the approach plates that shows anything and everything you want to know about the plates and charts.

True, but you have to have a Jepp subscription. Do you have one?

If not, I have extras lying around, not so much up to date, but I can send them over to you! Have you tried Jeppesen.com, there may be some stuff there as well.

let me know if I can help and good luck with the interview!

There was a whole chart clinic available on the Jepp web site. We have ref. it several times while in recurrent at Flight Safety and in our squadron for training. Very in depth, but will cost you a whole ream of paper to print it off....about 80 pages. Good luck.

You could always buy an issue of the Airway Manual Express for your area, a one-cycle only kit of plates, enroutes, and chart legend/key. I think most regions go for about $25 a pop.

There is also a Jepp video that goes through much of the legend & "how it works" stuff for their materials. We had one in the squadron training shop that you could view if you, um, had to fly someplace that required you to use Jepp charts... yeah, that's it, it wasn't for guys about to interview or anything, no not at all.

You can probably buy the video from Sporty's, or see if your squadron/flying club/local flying school/whatever might be willing to buy it as a resource for those in a similar situation.

If you really get desperate, and can stand to watch John and Martha, you can get a complete Jepp review from the King catalog.
