TETERBORO, N.J. -- There was no fire or fuel spill when a Jeep struck a Lear jet parked at Teterboro Airport Thursday morning.

The Port Authority said the vehicle, driven by an 18-year-old woman, crashed through the fence along the airport's perimeter off Industrial Avenue.

The vehicle hit the jet's wing tip.
Port Authority spokesman Pasquale DiFulco said the driver sustained minor injuries.
DiFulco said he believed the jet sustained minor damage.
The accident came nearly a year after a corporate jet overran the departure end of a runway at Teterboro during an aborted takeoff attempt. The jet crashed through a fence, hit two cars as it crossed a road and slammed into a warehouse. Four people were seriously injured.

It's about damn time the cars put some points on the board. What was it planes 3 cars 0 at the end of last year. Glad nobody got hurt.

If you think thats good I saw a G100 vs a crew-van AND a 206 at AMA yesterday. I think everyone lost.

Well I heard two stories...

The first is that the breaks went out on the G100...i don't know if i buy that or not but the second just sounds to stupid to have actually happened.

The second is

Their was a blue angels hornet parked on the ramp and while taxing the crew was trying to snap some pictures of the hornet while taxing out and instead of paying attention to where they was goin. Long story short they tried to fit between the van and the 207. However he was about 10 feet short on both sides and ripped the 207 off the tiedowns and busted the windows out of one side and crushed in one door on the same side of the van and pushed it so hard it popped the tire on the opposite side.

Vans messed up, skin damage on both sides of the G100 and not sure about the 206. This was all with the plane full of people and ready to head home. I was told an FAA rep had just happened to be shutting down his cherokee and watched the whole thing happen.

Where are the politicians demanding that cars be banned from roads around Teterboro airport, especially SUV's. They really need to raise the road tax in NJ to prevent innocent airplane owners from being subjected to "drivers" who wheel around by themselves in those expensive cars when there is perfectly good public transportation nearby:angryfire
