Hey if there are any JBLU 190 guys on here that are based in JFK can you answwer us a few questions?

1) How long has it been running until you can hold a line?
2) How long to hold around 15 days off as a lineholder?
3) How easy is it for a commuter to get paid 90 hours as a lineholder, and roughly how many days off would you have flying that much?
4) Do the 190's schedules have good commutablity?
5) And the million dollar question---when will they be based on the West Coast??? :)

If any of you can shed some light, it would help some of us in the pool out with the decision to jump into the 190 or hold out for the 320.

Recent CA upgrades were able to hold lines as early as 6-7 weeks after their fed ride. The bottom line holder (CA) got around 14 days off with pairings that's commutable at least on one end. New FOs are sitting reserve for about 2-3 months before holding a line.
West coast has always been a rumor, nothing substantial. Your guess is as good as anyone's.
90 hour lines are hard to come by with trips being less productive than the bus. Shorter legs, more reps so you're working pretty hard. To get 90 hours you won't get your 15 days off, more like maybe 11-12?
Most pairing are commutable at least on one end. Maybe 3-6 months as a line holder to get 15 days off?
 
I'm on the 190 as an FO. I average 83 hours and 16 days off. Reserve was only a month, but is running a little longer....2 or 3 months. The pay is rumored, strongly rumored to go up in the new year. The F/O pay is more likely to be increased because the upgrade is going to take longer. My advice, don't give up seniority. Take the 190. Commutability for me is a bear, I live in the midwest and it is two legs. My AUG. sked is 3 commutes, 16 days off and 85 hours. You can fly more, if you live in a commutable area. You can almost always commute on one end of the trip.

West coast, who knows.

Thanks for the info guys. I wish I had a crystal ball to see what the pay may be if they raise it and to see what upgrade times would be. I'll be living in HOU so the 320 would be nice so I could bid overnights at home. I also eventually want to end up out west because that is home. If the pay goes up and upgrade times stay around 14 months, then the 190 would be worth the seniority gain. If upgrades go up to two years, and the pay doesn't go up that much, then it may be worth taking the seniority hit and overnighting at home and eventually getting back west. I wish I had a career where all of my decisions were made for me :). Whatever I end up getting, I can't wait to get over there because 07 is going to be a great year for JBLU.
