Pilot. The purpose of this position is to be a resident ship handling expert,
qualified and capable to take charge of ships and support craft during docking and undocking, transiting to and from the sea buoy, passage through harbor channel and St. Johns River channels, providing specialized knowledge of local geography, weather and navigational conditions as required.
