Does anybody have any info on this job or any others based out of Jackson Hole?Thanks

Northwestern Wyoming Part 91 company, based in Jackson Hole, is now accepting resumes for an open position as a First Officer. Company benefits and competitive salary based on qualifications and experience. Preferred candidate will have good people skills, a Commercial Multiengine Instrument rating, 2000 hours PIC, 1000 hours PIC multi, 300 hours jet, and a manufacturers approved CJ2 qualification course.
 
I don't have any information right now, but I go into KJAC every few weeks or so. If I make it over there in the next few days I'll ask around and post it.

You might check around Driggs, Id. There are some planes based there rather than JAC because of the expense. I know there is CJ3 in U59 and the CJ2 they used to own was purchased by someone local and is still based there.

Be aware this is an expensive area to live in, take that in consideration during salary negotiations.
 
We recently sold ours to Mehico...unfortunately I never had the pleasure of flying it. I sure would have liked to have one flight at the controls...:(

Is it true that those things have no engine anti ice? Years ago I flew with a guy that never wanted to turn the engine a/i on because "the Sabre didn't have it, and it was fine!".. The guy was a total tool, so I always wondered if he was full of sh!t or just an idiot..
 
We have some anti-ice on the engines, mainly the P2T2 probe and the nacelle, but no anti- ice on the horizontal stab.

It isn't an ice magnet, heck, the 80's didn't even have a hot wing. Doesn't mean I wouldn't turn on my wing ice just because the 80's didn't have it and everything was fine. If you got it, use it.

The 65 had nacell heat the same as any other Garrett 731. The airframe was certified for icing and was determined that at that time it did not need horizontal or vertical stab heat. I have flown all the Sabre models, none of them (40,60,80)had airframe anti ice but all had engine anti ice.

So....he was an idiot that was full of sh!t. I always doubted whether or not he had the experience he claimed he had.....now it makes me realize that he was just a lying sack of sh!t. Of course, he had a story to top everything you could come up with....and most of them revolved around the Sabre.

To take the anti ice thread a little further. I used a ppe for awhile that actually had a copy of a Rockwell service bulletin if I remember the date correctly was issued in the late 60's authorizing the removal of the de-ice boots if installed.
It said something to the effect that after testing it was determined the boots were not needed due to the slat system on the plane.
Most of the old Sabre guys will tell you not to worry about the airframe ice, just use part flaps for landing and add 20 kts to the vref.

Those are some pretty high times for a CJ2 F/O! They must be looking to hire into the left-seat soon.
