Does anyone know the class dates for IA?
If I interviewed and was offered a position, could I select one say 6-8 months away? I have a contract that I need to finish up here on the east coast, and I'd love to move to Hawaii.

Does anyone know if you have to live on Oahu? Also what are the times required to upgrade to captain?

no, WP barely knows the date of their next class date. you can defer the class and tell them you have a contract and wish to take a later class date. although there is no guarantee if/when they will call you. you run the risk of falling down the pecking order if they suddenly get a lot of very qualified pilots. their pool has no order so they pick and choose who they want at the time of class selection.

you're not forced to live anywhere, and you theoretically could live somewhere else, but you would be doing a lot of commuting. pretty much everyone moves to oahu.

times required to upgrade vary greatly and are dependant on the company's desperation and what people have on the roster. they have hired captains off the street and people have taken up to 2 years to upgrade. right now with their current expansion plans it looks good for people upgrading quickly.
