Heard some employees have hired a firm out of DC. Something and Myers(can not remember the 1st name of the firm). The person that told me this said it is a group of both SWAPA and ALPA members and the filings will be out by the end of Jan. Gotta be BS right?

Haven't heard anything about it, but it would be unusual for there not to be lawsuits after a merger. I think every large merger has resulted in a lawsuit of some sort. Usually they don't go anywhere due to lack of merit, but that certainly doesn't stop people from trying. There is a huge lawfirm in DC called O'Melveny & Myers that does some labor law work. Something small like this would usually be beneath them, though. They do some of the highest profile cases in the country, including major Supreme Court cases.

I think that there will be lawsuits AFTER integration. Probably against ALPA and SW management. Im not too confident of these suits being successful. The only possible angle would be against ALPA due to MEMRAT, but there is controversy on that issue since it was from the NPA days. I think MEMRAT required the membership a vote based on the weight of the SLI/SL9. Hence it affected changes in our CBA and seniority. I know PCL will disagree, but a judge may not. We maybe shall see.

MEMRAT wasn't from the NPA days. The NPA had a version of MEMRAT, but ATN ALPA has it's own that is in the MEC Policy Manual. Take a read of it and you'll see that nothing was even close to being violated.
