This message is for Toro and FastCargo...were you at Laughlin between 1995-1999...T-38's? Just curious, I was a SOSM there and I'm trying to figure out who you are!

I'm trying to get a pilot slot now but had LASIK done. Have you heard of any waivers for this...or any way to get around it? Just thought some insiders might know. Thanks!

And oh yeah, Laughlin was horrible!

Yeah, I was there from 1995-1997...that's where I started then got released to the other side for good behavior...ha ha! Were you there? The 85th was a madhouse...the 87th was much better. I spent my entire enlistment at Laughlin :(

jodym,

Yes from Nov 95 to Oct 98 in the 85 th. I remember you working your magic at the board.

regards,

SOSMs....

jodym,

I still can't place your face! I remember Airman Bull (kinda hard to forget that name) and Sqt Vasquez... I had a nick name when I was on active (actually, still have it in the reserves). Another term for a small cat...

FastCargo

Moose-

Were you an IP? Was "Moose" your nickname then? I'm really curious who you are now! The 85th was pretty interesting...so busy all the time, we ran around like chickens with our heads cut off. Didn't have the best supervisor for awhile either...that doesn't help. I just hope I left a good impression in that squadron!

Fast Cargo-

Ok...a small cat...it's probably so easy but I can't think! I'm thinking of something really obvious but I'm sure that's not it...ha ha! Sgt Vasquez and Amn Bull were there right before I left. I got there when Sgt Mickens was supervisor then Sgt Mercier. Do you remember Amn Sullins? We were there together for the longest time. I sat at the duty desk and studied the whole time. Maybe this will help...I was the only SOSM to get an incentive ride...it was with Maj Wolfer...was thrown in the pogo pool by almost the entire squadron???? That was actually my incentive to become a pilot!

I was at Laughlin from mid 1995 to mid 1997 on casual status, then as a student. I went through T-38s in class 97-10 - started in December-ish of 96 and graduated in June of 1997. Since I was just a student, I doubt you'd remember me with all of the others who went through.

Toro-

You'd be surprised...I remember most of the students and IP's that went through! Unfortunately my life was the duty desk for 3 1/2 years...there wasn't much else to do in Del Rio, sadly enough. The students were the fun part of my job...new faces, people to carry pubs in for us and to make fun of when the 781's were completely wrong!

If you're nickname has anything to do with your last name I know who you are :)
