Check out the fountain on the right. :)

Weird "Air Terminal". It has not one airplane, Taxiway, Gate, Ramp, "Tarmac" or anything else that looks like it is associated with an airport.

This building is just Iran Air's HQ building and it is located just a short distance from the terminal. Look up "Mehrabad Airport" on Google Earth and zoom in. You'll see plenty of airplanes, runways, taxiways, and a terminal building or two.

I know you're trying to be sarcastic, but you can't nit-pick some blogger's stupidity. Most people don't know the difference between the terminal and some HQ building... or the difference between a runway or taxiway.

OK, so who's David and why does he rate a star?

Well, the schmekel is pointing East towards the holy city of Mashhad. There's a grave/shrine there and supposedly the 8th Imam is buried there.
