IPOD/DVD cable

There is supposed to be a cable (I've actually seen one) that you can connect your IPOD and/or portable DVD player through one's intercom or jumpseater headset. I went to our local avionics shop and tried to describe what I was looking for. The guy looked at me like I had a turd on my head...and of course I did butt thats beside the point. Would anyone happen to know whats the technical name of said patch cord and where you can buy them? Thanks in advance.
