Does anyone use Edward Jones for investing? If so, how do their costs and performance compare to other companies. Thanks.

Their costs are high. Good service. Highly loaded funds. A little research on your own could save a ton of money. Go to Vangaurd.com and look for investment advice and model portfolios.

Spend a few hours looking at the options and you will get a good idea of what you are looking for. Will save you some serious dough over the commissions from EJ.

Scottrade for regular and Roth IRA accounts. $7 a stock trade.

If you would like some options drop me a PM....

As far as "highly loaded funds," I do not believe funds can have additional loads on them from brokers.. There are many different avenues to investing. Make sure your advisor lets you know all of them, and what each one will cost you.
