When I was stationed at CGAS Detroit, a tenant of SANGB, we used to
fold dollar bills and flash them as ID cards to get through the gate. We
were never challenged or stopped. The running joke was that the
guards guns were not loaded.

Apparently the level of security has increased somewhat.

Check out the name of the guy shot dead on Apr 4.

That guy wasn't shot at. It was the more recent incident whence the
intruder died of his injuries. "The FBI determined that no terrorist activity
was involved." Then what was it? Joy-riding?! Drunk driving?

This pretty much puts to rest any charge of bias against the FBI. PC
maybe, but definitely not bias or prejudice.

Or maybe I'm the prejudiced one here.

Please turn yourself into the Hate Hotline:

You will be scheduled for 'personal behavior deviation correction' training... TC

I'll only report myself to a self-serving government entity.

the article said:
"Our concern - and there are many - is that there is no confidentiality, no legal confidentiality," explains Judd Golden, chairman of the Boulder American Civil Liberties Union, which has not yet taken an official position on the hate-line. "So it's potentially chilling if people think they are providing this information in confidence and then that information were provided to the government or the government sought access to it. That would chill free speech."

Maybe they should exchange "confidentiality" with "Constitutionality."
That might make a bit more sense.

As Eddie used to say, "I don't want any of that on my hot dog..."

I'll turn myself in now.

Terrorism is defined in the U.S. by the Code of Federal Regulations as: "..the unlawful use of force and violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives.

Technically not terrorism in this case...unless he jumped out of the car yelling "free the Liberty 7". or some other crap.
Now the nutter in NC a few months ago. That was within the definition of terrorism.

That said there is no way the Gov't is going to call anything short of a coordinated attack,"terrorism". It would be counter to maintaining good public order. You start labelling every off his meds nut job as an act of terrorism and people are going to go hide under the bed, the economy will suffer...etc.

I got Deja Vu all over again reading this. In the late 80's, we took students to Key West to Carrier qualify several times a year and we used to joke about how the guards would let you get through with an American Express card. Coming back to the Q after dinner (and a few malt beverages) one night we talked the driver into trying it, and sure enough, the guard waved us through. We were all snickering about it and the driver says "dang, that was really bad".

Then he shows us the front of his..............GOLD CARD!!!
