My name is Will, I am the Editor of an E-Magazine for a Virtual Airline. Besides working the Mx side of the house in the "real world", I am a pilot in the virtual world. Us Virtual Pilots try to simulate real world airlines (without the labor strife ;) ) and we would like to see if there are any real world commercial pilots that would be interested in an interview with the magazine? The questions are mostly asking about the pilot culture, some technical, and some "what is it like?" type.

Although, we simulate pilots, we're not just limited to that group, so any RW airline employees, that may be interested--let me know!

If there is any interest, please contact me at [email protected] or AIM: PWACENTERLINE Yahoo IM: hp_amt

Thank you for your time!

Huh?

Will-

Please forgive me for being a little "old school", but what the hell is a "Virtual Airline" and how did you become a "Virtual pilot"? Is this a flight sim thing?

It is a sim thing. They even simulate lay-offs, poor working conditions, and mis-treatment of passengers.

It is a sim, but not quite that bad...

Here are some links to PWA and other VAs...here and here as you see, some are completely fictional and others are based on Real World carriers with their fleet, OPS, and route/schedule structure. I have found many mock or dislike VAs (many being RW pilots) but all VAs are doing is imitating RW pilots, as most are aspiring and/or current pilots...

We also fly with live "Simulated" ATC, often provided by actual controllers. In a nutshell, it nothing more than a hobby for aviation lovers.

Interesting. I could diffidently see the appeal to an aspiring pilot. Good luck.

I'll tell you what it's really like. I have an insightful story about a lady who puked up the swiss cheese crackers and we couldn't board until we cleaned it up. You could simulate it, too.
