Hey all,

Got a letter today from Trans States inviting me to interview. I am a current 121 1900 driver. Looking for pay scale, QOL, etc.

Hey ASH...did your current resume with TSA state you had over 1500 hours? I just noticed your profile said 1300 hours...i thought TSA's minimums were 1500...hard minimums. Well just wondering...hey...maybe they dipped beneath that and I might have a shot:) THX
congrats bro!!!!

Did they just mail you a letter, and not any kind of call? Also did you have somebody walk in the resume? What are competitive times here I wonder? They seem like an ok place.

Yeah I just got the letter too. No call or anything for whoever asked that. Anyways saw some TSA guys so I asked them about that stuff. Jet FO pay is 22 first year 24 2nd year and 30 3rd year. If you upgrade at your 3rd year then its 59/hr. Upgrade time right now is right around 3 yrs.

My resume reflected 1300 TT with a Type rating and around 700Muti Turbine 121 time, when I recieved the letter

Seriously hope I can bag this job.

When are you interviewing Cornholio??

Interview

Got a letter to call Sarah at TSA
They offered me three interview dates. Picked the one on the 29th (January).
Hear good and bad things about it.
Do they still have a terrible failure rate at training?

I dunno. I'm interviewing on the 21st of Jan. Did you hear of failures due to complexity of aircraft, or "department" failure??

Thanks ASH

Hey Ash i appreciate the response to the minimums question. I've currently got 1300TT, 400 multi, with 300 multi-turbine. I was really hoping they could dip beneath the 1500 mark. I only fly about 40 hours a month so I wouldn't hit the 1500 mark until sometime this spring. Hey...maybe i'll luck out...you said you had a type rating...not sure if that was a factor or not. Which makes me think...who picks out the resumes there? Computerized? Well just wondering. Good luck to all those currently awaiting interviews. One of my former coworkers is finishing ground school there now...that person is really loving it there! See ya,

No sweat, Type rating could have had an impact. I think 121 time is key. From what I gather, it is a cumulative concept. i.e., doesn't have the total time, but most is 121 turbine, has a type, prior military, blah, blah. I get the impression they are going for a whole person concept. Note: website states that they CAN hire people below mins at companies discretion. Keep on knockin.

Hey ASH..thanks for that quick reply...I think the guy your going to pm is in the same class as the person I know. Small world huh? Again..thanks for the advise...i'll keep knocking..I sent them a mailed resume back in October..I think it's time to update:) Best wishes...

Jan 21 and ASH check you PM.
