Any big name provider (aol, earthlink, netzero) will have a good nationwide dial up network (netzero's probably the cheapest). If you have a little more money, I'd look into Sprint, Verizon, or Cingular data plans. They have cards that go into your laptop, and as long as you have a cell signal, you have hispeed internet. The only problem with those is that they run about 60 bucks per month....

Save your money. If a hotel doesn't have HSI, it will soon. They need it to compete. I haven't stayed in one that doesn't since I don't know when.

For $20 a month you can get unlimited wireless from T-Mobile if you have a bluetooth cellphone and bluetooth on your laptop. Thus far has worked for me anywhere I can get a cell signal in the US.

Your right, they SHOULD. Alot of it depends on the the particular airlines contract with the hotel. For some reason, The Hilton's my airlines stays at refuse to give free highspeed to crewmemebers.

Sometimes you check in and ask, they waive the fee. Other times, you ask and they say no. Or worse, you were there last week and got or free so you hook up again, only to find a bill under your door the next morning.

Now the ****ing computer won't find the modem. I've run the detect modem wizard 3 times. Any ideas on how to force it to find the modem?
