Note the location--the Dominican Republic. If my memory of the Caribbean serves me correctly, I think this qualifies as a "stabilized approach" down there. Cool pic.

That is stabalized. Come on, he/she must have been a freight pilot at some time in their career. :)
 
That looks a lot like the turn to 8, after an ILS to 10 at San Juan. It must be an island thing mon.

Heh heh, that brings back a flood of memories ... flying "bridge visual" If you come in from the east or southeast VFR you get the bridge visual, this involves keeping your base inside of the Moscoso Bridge, which is about a half mile from the threshold of Rwy 10. Kinda interesting in itself, but even more interesting if there's a plane doing the ILS 10, land Rwy 8. I remember looking over at a 767 (I think) as I was turning final and seeing wide eyed faces looking out the passenger windows. I'm sure it seemed a lot closer than it really was ... but even still
 
I always laugh when I read the descriptions of the photos on Airliners.net.

It could be a picture of an aircraft in the flare, and the poster will say something along the lines of, "The captain and FO did a great job, my hat's off to the crew for this tough approach!"

After a "non parallel" downwind leg (45°), the Captain starts a SINGLE turn at 600 feet (600 !!!). While turning and descending, we remain at the perfect level ("2 white - 2 red level" at the pappi lights, left side) and, here, almost on the rwy we still have a serious and unusual bank angle. WOW, great skills, Captain.

It was probably the FOs leg!:p
 
A turn at a low altitude is very standard and stabilized for landing runway 8 at Juneau. Fun stuff! I'm sure AK737FO has some other great approaches come to mind.

Standard Day

JNU rwy 08 or circle 26, PSG circle, WRG either end, and my personal favorite - night circle to 36 at ADQ.
Southeast in the B737-200, it doesn't get any better!:D
 
This guy must have been "wearing it, not just flying it!" Like a few helo guys I have met.
