If anyone on here has experience working for them, please post some info. I am especially interested in QOL and hours, also curious what bases seem to be in need of filling. Thanks! :)

SLC & San Juan both need pilots. Up early, home late (some places). Other than that, pretty good.

It depends. Everything at AMF is last minute and your QOL depends on your base, time of year, etc. If they have a base where you live Id say life is pretty good (weekends off). For entry level 135 freight companies they have to be one of the best. The only things that suck here would suck at any single pilot small plane company (deicing your own airplane with a library card and a semi warm pressure sprayer at night when its freezing and dispatch is wondering whats taking you so long). Bases that they are hiring into are BUR, OAK, and PDX. I see you have a saab340 in your profile so you should be able to get a be99 in SLC (which I hear is a decent base) or if you want to move a Metro in san juan. Good luck!

Where on earth did you do this??

Ok....

I was under the impression that they flew in crews, but maybe I'm mistaken? I'm not interested in single pilot ops, but the company seems really good to work for. I like the idea of a BUR base.

For me, Portland and Billings at the outstations - minus the library card though. Hint for Metro drivers: the CG wheel makes an excellent frost scraper for the windows, takes a lot of elbow grease for ice though. I once saw a Shorts FO climb up onto the aircraft with a garden sprayer to de-frost the wings and upper fuselage back to the v-stab. That took some cajones as it's a long drop from the top of that beast.

The only planes that always fly as crew are the Lears and Brasilias. Everything else is primarily single pilot IFR.
