by far I think the instrument rating is the most challenging. Congrats.

How long did it take you? I am about to begin training for mine here in the next couple of weeks. How often did you go up, and what does the training consist of?

About 2 months, flew 2-3 times a week. Did mostly local flights to three airports within a 50nm radius of here. A couple of XC's also,plus the required 250nm one.

Congrats! I got mine about 6 months ago and have filed IFR every time since. Its a good idea to do so, so you can get used to the system. Fly safe.
