Amongst other pilot opportunities, I am interested in an entry level B200 position at a charter. I understand that a lot of charters and corporate flight departments hire mostly current B200 pilots even for F.O. positions. Can someone refer me to an operator that may hire someone with no King Air experience? Preferred location is SoCal but flexible to move elsewhere. Currently I am trying to make appointments for a courtesy visit (cold calling) at several operators in SoCal, but I would like to narrow my search down to places that will train me in the King Air.

Thanks in advance.

Uhhh....I think "cold calling" means NO appointment. But hey, that's just me.

Thanks for the info

And yes, my mistake. I meant cold calling to make appointments.
I also dropped off a resume at West Coast Charters, but the Chief Pilot
was not in today. I will follow up soon to see if I can visit him.

Thanks once again, and safe flying!

Is Raytheon still at KVNY? They offered me a PIC job on a brand new BE20 about a year ago.

It seems like Spirit at KVNY was always hiring guys into the right seat.

West Coast Charters is a good choice.

It might be worth checking out Schubach(sp?) at KCRQ. I don't know much about them but I know they were hiring guys (and gals) with a lot less time than you into the King Airs.

Good Luck!

West Coast Charters is a great place to look. It took some thinking, but I left a 121 PIC postion to come here and haven't looked back. We are busy, but not unreasonably so, and the company treats us well. Good airplanes and fun flying. PM me if you want more info.

Do they have SIC's on there KA and what is competitve to get on?Also what are upgrades like and what other aircraft do they have. And does anybody have any info on Schubach?
