Does anyone have any info on PSA? I know their website has a link to the big CRJ order USAir made last spring, yet it doesn't look very up to date. Given the current condition at USAir, is this order still happening (that's alot of planes), are they replacing all the 328s, are they hiring, etc... Any info on the place (work enviro, pay; you know the drill) would be appreciated.

The order for the 60 CRJ-200's is still going strong. We should be getting 25 CRJ-700's as well but this is being held up by the Mainline MECs scope language. In fact at least one of them is already built and was to be delivered but that won't happen till the scope is changed.

As it stands we are not hiring off the street. We have a large excess of Do 328 pilots due to several different reasons, so I doubt any off the street hiring will occur until we can get the dork pilots through CRJ training.

That being said, they have already gone through the APL (list of furloughed mainline pilots if you didn't know) once for FO slots and are working their way down the second time, since there are not too many furloughed guys and gals willing to take the FO slots. Between that and the 25 700's we will have to hire of the street to fill the FO slots. Exactly when that will occur I cannot say, but I would guess sometime this year. I do hope, however, that if our PDT and ALG brothers continue to be furloughed that we offer those jobs to them first.

Pay and work rules, not the best but better than MESA (not bashing just tellin' it like it is). I would say more but my fingers hurt from typing. :D

Peace!

PS Remember that this is all dependant on the survival of US Airways and/or being bought by another regional (rumor floating around)
