Word spread rapidly, that he had died suddenly a day before his 44th b'day, sitting on his front porch. It was not fair he had gotten his scheduled pax job, made Captain and was doing great. He had been a freight dog at YIP. We drifted through the funeral home running into people we had not seen in many years, we all knew him in some capacity. We elected to go to a favorite Mexican watering hole, most of us had been at Zantop, Kalitta, USA Jet, etc. Now ATA, DAL, AA, JB, SWA, and Spirit were represented by those sitting in this watering hole. YIP is a small community and it was good to see familiar faces again. In the end we raised our glasses in his memory, it was hard to believe and then we departed.

Who was this gentleman? I'm sure some of us may have run across him in our travels, it's a small world.

R.I.P....
