Just heard about it from a friend of his. Most don't seem to understand why he would fly freight with the airshow and Boeing job.
 
sounds like he just really liked to fly.... RIP

Yep...Even if I didn't need a flying job to make money (like him it seems)...I'd still like to get my hands on some kind of part time flying gig. Just because.
 
Wow....very sobering news... I first met Eric about 10 years ago. We've run into each other many times since then, and flown together a couple times...but I haven't seen him in about 2 years. RIP, Eric.

I met Eric many moons ago when he flew in airshow at the airport I was currently instructing out of. Cool dude. He challenged me to a dogfight...he had his Yak and I had a Pitts S-2B. Guess who won that one.
