If the situation should arise where DAL mainline ends up being able to fly on ASA aircraft at a higher (S3) priority than ASA can fly on mainline (S3C), I hate to imagine what the consequences may be for some DAL people who commute on ASA. There will suddenly be severe weight & balance issues that arise at the last moment. That is the general talk in the ASA lounges right now. If the benefits have to change, then let it be a "level playing field" at least, ASA S3C on DAL and vice versa.

DAL crewmembers need to push hard for this, I can assure them it will be in their best interests. ASA people will not be treated like dirt much more, they are all fed up with just about everything right now!

As for all the ASA ramp and gate personnel boasting that they will get to keep their benefits "when" they move over, it should be remembered that DAL is not taking over the "below wing" operations because they were doing a good job, and you got to get hired by DAL first! It always seems to be the flight crews who do their dangest to get the flights out on time, and end up getting shafted at the end of the day.

Enough, time for some more green beer.

For the month, as of yesterday, ASA was leading the DCI bunch with an 8.0+/- in bags. Hmmmm, I wonder if they're suddenly 'motivated'????

If we lose our benefits, atleast it was a nice run while they lasted. What are the agreements for SKW and CHQ crews? I would imagine they are all reciprocal S3Cs?

If it changes, I would think that it would just match what all the other non wholly owned airlines are.

As far as they weight and balance game....I would hope ASA pilots would be better than that. Nobody wins with a pseudo Jumpseat/NRSA war.

If I remember correctly, S3C is what OO guys/gals get on mainline DL. ASA has been getting S3 because it was written into the purchase agreement that they keep their status for a while after the deal was done. Remember?

I totally agree, but that's the talk right now unfortunately. We are not a happy bunch at ASA, and it is sad to hear of talk like this. We are losing more than a pilot a day right now, an unsustainable level, one which will ramp up when the benefits change, guaranteed!

Yes S3C on mainline. I have no idea what DAL gets on SKW, but SKW employees always have priority on SKW iron.

What will ASA be on Skywest Flights and vice versa??? Will we be S3's on ASA and Skywest after the change over? What is the highest that Skywest get's on their own flights now?

I have heard that Delta ALPA is the group pushing the most for us to lose our S3 benefits.....I don't think its necesarily right but this could cause jumpseat issues.
I would imagine in a worst case scenario a few months of Delta pilots unable to get to work would change the benefits scenario.

I think everyone knew we would be losing S2 and pretty much accepted it as industry standard (S2 on your own airline / S3 on with codeshare).

The heartburn is with the rumor that we will have S3 on Delta while they maintain S2 on us. Of course, that is just the rumor right now. But I did hear JA alluded to the fact that Delta would have higher priority and it would happen June 1st.

I think we should just all wait and see before we start tearing each other apart.

Well it's not a "rumor", it's fact.

ASA S3C on DAL. The only thing that has not been worked out is how DAL will fly on ASA. This was stated by DAL people to the rampers last week and also to ASA management during their "leadership" meeting last week.

It's a done deal, get over it and quit being a victim. We knew it was going to happen sooner or later. It started when we were sold well over a year ago.

I agree. It was nice while we had it, especially for us commuters. But I definetely don't think Delta employees should have higher nor equal priority on ASA flights. What Skywest has is fair. And please ASA pilots, don't start a JS battle with Delta pilots. Keep the JS out of it.
