After reading the "I really ****** up today" thread http://forums.flightinfo.com/showthread.php?t=45372, that the Honorable Eagleflip closed, a moment of "New Year's" clarity overcame me. Although it would be as if I was the kettle was calling the pot black, I thought a great New Year's resolution for us posters who find ourselves responding to something that may make them a little emotional in response, would be to take a moment to smell the pizza.

If you find yourself responding to a post that seems stupid or like it was meant to anger you...take a pause for the cause and do a "Girl from Impanema" before you post!

Tall and tan and young and lovely
The girl from ipanema goes walking
And when she passes, each one she passes goes - ah

When she walks, she’s like a samba
That swings so cool and sways so gentle
That when she passes, each one she passes goes - ooh

(ooh) but I watch her so sadly
How can I tell her I love her
Yes I would give my heart gladly
But each day, when she walks to the sea
She looks straight ahead, not at me

Tall, (and) tan, (and) young, (and) lovely
The girl from ipanema goes walking
And when she passes, I smile - but she doesn’t see (doesn’t see)
(she just doesn’t see, she never sees me,...)

Ummm, do I get partial credit if I've been to Ipanema, have hung out on the beach? I've even been to the bar named "La garota de Ipanema" which supposedly is the inspiration for the song.
