I get Aviation Safety and simply don't read it much anymore. There is only so many "how to lean your engine" and "winter ice" articles and "moving up to a complex" articles I can read.

Esp since 99% of it applies to single engine piston stuff.

With that said, I used to get IFR Refresher, like 10 years ago. I might subscribe again.

For the ATP-level corporate and airline guys in the audience, do you find that magazine interesting or does it stay in the hangar bathroom, on top of ProPilot and AIN news?

I also used to get it but either I got more smarter (unlikely) or they started dumbing it down. Many of the long time writers were replaced and I canceled my subscription, which had been going for about 10 years. I haven't looked at it in 5+ years though, so maybe it got good again.

I've gotten both IFR and IFR Refresher in the past. It seemed like IFR had more details and info....

I think the two just have different focuses. There is, of course overlap, but IFR Refresher tends to be more of an "expand on the basics" periodical with IFR being a bit more about "working the system."

I usually have a subscription to one or the other and tend to switch back and forth as they expire.

I used to subscribe to IFR refresher. Cancelled it after a few years. It is what it is, and it just got too expensive to keep. At one point I was saving all of the issues and realized that I had boxes of their publications.
