I am an RJ Capt. My purpose was to illuminate a simple fact on this board. Mainly that there are far too many posts where the good guys and the bad guys seem to be VERY clearly defined. NO THE CASE! Some are portrayed as the leaders of the race to dumb down the entire indusrty. Like it or not, RJs ARE replacing bigger A/C flying because of cost. Those that started the process of replacing this flying are a bit peeved that the same thing COULD happen to them, by lower than thier cost RJH operators. Like I have said before, one RJ pilot group saying another stinks, as we stand side by side in the sewage, is a bit ironic. Many of the most vocal people have a SHORT memory of who flew what, and at what payscale, just a few years ago. RJ's are replacing more "mainline" flying than the original plan of supplimenting/cultivating underserved markets (to be taken over by supposed bigger A/C) in the future. Food for thought and shades of grey. But all RJ operators are by thier very nature, insuring that the next rung on the pay ladder is getting higher and higher, with each shiny new RJ that arrives on their property.
