Boy, I wish I had your problems. Worrying where your dues go at NJ. Like I said, wish I had your problems.

I wish that was the biggest problem faced by other frac pilots, too. Unfortunately, some managers have to be dragged along to a new way of doing things. The good news is that it IS possible to turn things around and the NJ pilots are proof of that. When I first started posting here the NJ pilots had the same complaints that Options pilots are now posting and the Options pilots hadn't even taken the first step in standing up for themselves. I do think that with determination and perseverance, fairness and common sense will prevail in the end. Good Luck to those at the bargaining table and to those collecting cards! NJW

There is a rumor that all the money will be kept local....

I see the situation as a human interest issue that affects the NJ family members, too. I plan to keep my ear to the ground just in case the rumors turn into a rumbling and the pilots decide to vote with their feet. Afterall...

Stranger things have happened. When the pilots voted in the 2005 CBA who among them thought they'd be getting another pay raise and a second signing bonus just two years later? Three years early without a fight, no less! I think IBB represented a change in direction and I think the pilotgroup should keep heading that way. What do y'all think?

Hi folks,

I'm an upcoming new hire at NetJets and was wondering what steps I should take to gain access to the Union message board and ensure that I become a member of the 1108.

I imagine they come and talk to you in class (I start on the 11th), but that ain't true for the Local 747, so my cynicism makes me try to pre-empt the process now that I'm starting here. Plus, since I'm already a Teamster, I want to make certain I don't get hit with the initiation fee twice.

Is there anything else I need to do to make certain things are taken care of? Or does it really just happen once I start and I shouldn't worry about it?

I will also be up there from the FEB 10th to the 16th for A/C recurrent, So, Yes there is something you can do, learn where the Hyatt and Gordon Birsch are, Meet me there and I will tell you everything you need to know.

Friendly Reminder: when you sign up for the NJ 1108 board remember to also sign up for your mailbox at the same time so that you can get PMs and your welcome ecard. Don't forget that you have to use your own name there. If you have any questions or concerns during training the Union Training Committee is just an email or phone call away. Good Luck to those applying and interviewing! :) NJW
