My good friend works there and flies his ass off! He is doing atleast 100 hours per month in the Metro. There main base is in Miami, the also have a base up in Cananda, and I think New York as well. I think they are getting rid of there Short 360's and will be getting Saab 340 the end of this summer. Up grade time is slow. My buddy has been there a year, (in the right seat) which isn't that long, but he has logged over 1100 hours. Yes you are correct about the pay $18,500 I don't know about the per deim but it sound reasonable.

Out of Miami, most of there flights are to Jamaica. Up north, the flight are between NY and Canada as I understand.
I think they are pretty regularly looking for FO's in Miami. This should help a little bit. Anything else specific, I can ask my buddy if you freally want.

Thanks for the info.

I was wondering if the sched permits working another job on days off. I'll be taking almost a 50% pay cut coming from line service, so I might need some extra help to make ends meet.

No way! If your flying 100 hours a month, you probably wouldn't have much energy for another job.

The great part about IBC though, is that your in Miami. No, not the weather and girls. Well yeah that, but being around all the heavy operators. A lot of the operators down there fly DC-8, DC-10, 727, old 737, and there hourly requirments are nothing like UPS, FEDEX. Making $18,500 a year is tuff though.

Yeah, thinking about going from the ape pumping gas, to the highly trained professional streaking through the sky to destinations far away, and taking a 50% pay cut makes me want to bite someone. Oh well, if I can stick it out for a year, I'd be in pretty good shape.

a friend of mine works there and he does fly a lot.

he had told in december that they were almost exclusively hiring through internal recommandation.
the fact that they were (or were supposde to be at least) at the aeroservice job fair could be proof of a different trend.
I know that he is based in mia but goe in the NE bases from time to time.
