I am going to be at 1200 hours in the next 3 months, I am working at a company with a higher pay than 90% of companies, but I work 300 hours a month. I fly well over 100 every month. I am wondering what people who have been there did and what you would recommend. I do not want to upgrade here, because I want to move back to the lower 48. I do not want to fly a single piston in Alaska. I currently have 900tt with 260pic and 500SIC in a multi engine turbine over 20,000. What would you do? Oh and I was involved in a midair as SIC of an aircraft that was hit while flying in formation...will that hurt me anywhere? There was no violation by the FAA.

Stay and upgrade?
Stay until more SIC hours?
Go to a regional and if so which one?
Go to a cargo carrier?

Thanks,
Shortbus

The one question that stuck out in my mind when I interviewed at a regional was, "any incidents or accidents?"

Of course its not flame. He is a nice guy, and wants some honest advice. If you come back to the US, you can easily find a twin piston PIC 135 job at 1200 TT, at the worst.

There are other operators of the Irish Concorde too, like Corporate Air for example. Staying and upgrading there and flying thru the winter would be great experience, but only you knows if that will make you happy or leave you cold and miserable.

I would start applying at any of the regionals while you stay there and build some more time. Send out resumes now, and maybe you will get some replies in the next 3 months. If not, then at least in 3 months, you will at least be at 135 PIC mins, and maybe you can find yourself a halways descent charter operator to fly for in the lower 48. Just my .02
good luck
