First of all I love Falcons! I've flown all of them except the 2000 and I think that they are one of the best aircraft out there... But after my experience with Falcon Tech Support last night, IM PISSED!!!!!

There we were..... On the ramp at MSY loaded up and ready to blast off for Gander then on to England for a few days and finally on to Russia... I jump in the seat and begin to start the engines.. First number 2 and then on to number 3... I push the number 3 start button, wait for N1 and throw in the fuel... BUT WAIT.... Theres no ignition... WTF... Whats going on here.... I abort the start and go through the motions... Well to make a long story short, after 2 hours of trouble shooting we narrowed it down to the microswitch in the throttle quadrant that tells the ignitors when to turn on during the start process.. For all you falcon pilots... If you ever run into this problem, and your stuck somewhere, you can start the engine by hitting the stall test at the same time you introduce fuel. Anyhow, after speaking to Falcon Tech Help for a long time we were able to get a part number.. We were assured that the part would be counter to countered and we should recieve it by lunch time today. Well.. its 3:15 and still no part.. Thanks to Falcon for not getting the part to EWR until about 12 our part will not get here until 5 or 6. Luckily the boss wasnt to upset. But it kinda made we wish we had a Gulfstream.... They have a parts and service aircraft that will bring the part to you whenever you need it... Oh well... Just needed to vent a little... If you read this thanks for listening... Hopefull we will be off the ground tonight.. Ive never been to Russia....

I know zero about falcons....but how did you find out about the stall warning thing.....2 unrelated systems....or is it some feat of French engineering.

I have a good imangination, so I will guess it is the stall protection turning on the auto ignition.

CL601 do it too. I am sure others probably do it as well. It's thinking ahead and smart. I flew a Citation years ago and the Ignition comes on automatically with the Anti-Ice. Once again, smart. I wish other manufactures did things like this. As from the experience, you can see how it helps in other situations.

EXACTLY.

I have the same beef with Dassault that falconpilot has. Gulfstream truly kicks Dassaults a$$ on customer support, even though for the most part Dassault does a very good job ... unless it is a holiday or month of August (the French take the month off ... only good thing I can see about being French(
