I guess i hit the wall with the costs of owning and flying my own plane. We sold the Skylane just a couple of weeks ago, a great all round airplane to have and fly. Fuel prices were the main reason for me. There was not a change in my financial condition, could not bring myself to shell it out any more 'just' to go out and have a little fun. Anyone else feel the same. I have the notion of getting into a light sport type AC, like a Piper Cub or Aeronca, somthing along those lines, but for now i'm taking a break from feeding big oil.

uh oh... I was looking into leasing a plane with my buddy and splitting the costs down the middle. Possibly leasing an old bonanza or arrow...

Go with a Piper Super Cub, 150hp, you can fly around at reduced power, have low fuel burn, but if you need some speed, say for tower ops., or headwinds, you have it. Super Cub has to be a blast to flyua.
