Im surprized this still happens...I remember reading about the guys (only one made it) that hopped on an iberia DC-8 from cuba and made it to Madrid. He was nearly dead when he was found but he made it.
 
Over on pprune.com, in the Africa forum, is a link to photos of the airplane and damage sustained. Actually pretty horrific shots, especially the one of the closed WW door with a big chunk of the guy hanging out.


You can only hope he never knew what hit him. Pretty sad. Makes a trip from Cuba to the US in a 1948 Mercury station wagon look like a pleasure cruise.
 
What about that cuban guy who did the same in a dc-10 flight to Canada. This guy somehow survived, and I'm still trying to figure out how.
