SOCATA TBM

...from a 1300 hr, pipeline patrol, banner tow grunt, what should my next effort be to eventually pic the Socata TBM for cargo.

Many thanks.

Don't know, Socata advertises as such on their web page...I like the features of the equipment.

If you wanna fly for quest go to Reading, PA and rub elbows with whomever you can. It's not the easiest job to land...unfortunately, I know personally...

Thanks, wheelsup. You and a few other good folks are here to help a newbie, the rest like to bark a lot on the other side of the fence.

Good luck.

If Quest Diagnostics still fly the TBM-700 (I don't know, but know they fly Bonanzas too), you'll need over 5000 hours to be competitive - word on the street

Try getting on with Airnet or some other Quest Part 135 cargo sub-contractor. Quest is Part 91, so the experience 135 will do you good, also you'll be able to build time fast.

NoPax, I Appreciate the details you provide...I have been pipeline patroling and banner towing, now getting the CFI/MEII. I have been flying alone too long.

Heheh, I'm just the opposite... I like flying alone!! TBM's are sweet, though, good luck. I just sent you a PM, get back to me if you can!
