On a Loc BC with an HSI do you have to twist the HSI needle to the opposite or do you leave it on the inbound heading?

The needle head should always be set to the FRONT course (wheather it is a front course or a back course) to eliminate reverse sensing.

So in the case of flying in bound on a LOC BC, the head of the needle would be pointing down.

Edit: I initally had the capitalized word "FRONT" as "INBOUND", that was incorrect.

Whatever heading is published for the front course of the LOC, which SHOULD be printed on the BC plate, is what the HSI needs to be dialed to. This will alleviate reverse sensing. If you get on the couse and discover that you indeed have reverse sensing, just flip the sucker over and you'll be in business.
