I've been reading alot of people on here saying they intend to vote down this TA, and it seems like most are unhappy with the proposed hourly pay rates.

My question is this: how would you like to see the TA changed from its current state? Is there anything other than compensation that is holding it back? What pay rates would you like to see?

I'm not trying to undermind the NC or any of the hard work they have done in any way, I'm just trying to get a better understanding of everyone's reasoning. Thanks!

Ah, Industry leading payrates. I believe they are the largest operator of regional jets in the world. Anything else is a step backwards. We're all underpaid as it is. I can deal with first year pay there, but about $6 more an hour for Fo's $11 for Captains. Don't give me this post 9/11 crap, you are more important to CAL right now then you were then. I remember when my friends were over there they were talking about a $20 raise across the board.

Here are the things I would change:

-Captain pay rates should be within 1-2% of ComAir's current rates
-FO pay should be $25-27/hr for first year and then 60% of captain rates
-Pay for training should not be allowed to return (I didn't see anything that prohibits the company from using pay for training in the future?)
-Cap on how much insurance premiums can rise each year
-$1.75 per diem with $.05 raise each year
-Retro profit sharing

Peace

The changes that should be made, I think are what need to be made accross the entire industry. But as long as you have people willing to work for nothing to get to the evermore elusive majors it just isn't going to happen.
